Modest Wholesale is a Turkish modest fashion manufacturer and B2B wholesaler based in Istanbul. We design, produce and export modest clothing for boutiques, online modest shops and retailers around the world. This is how we started, how we work, and where we are going.
It began in Istanbul
Our story began in Istanbul, Türkiye — the heart of Turkish modest fashion manufacturing. Istanbul is where the fabric mills, the pattern rooms, the trim suppliers and the sewing floors sit within a few kilometres of each other, and that closeness is the reason Turkish modest wear moves faster and fits better than almost anything else on the market.
We were buyers before we were exporters, so we knew the frustrations from the other side of the table: slow replies, unclear minimums, samples that did not match production. We built Modest Wholesale to be the supplier we wished we had found — manufacturer direct pricing, honest answers, and a catalogue you can actually merchandise.

From one workshop to more than 100 countries
What started as a local operation has expanded worldwide. Today we export to more than 100 countries, and the range you see online is the same range that ships to boutique owners on five continents. Every order leaves the same building in Istanbul, so what a retailer in Toronto receives is what a retailer in Lagos or Almaty receives.
That reach is not a vanity number. It is the reason we understand what different markets buy, when they buy it, and how the same silhouette needs to change to sell in a different climate or a different social calendar.
Wholesale should feel like a service, not a transaction
We do not simply sell garments. We provide a service. For most of our clients we are the first wholesale supplier they have ever worked with directly, and that means our job starts well before the invoice.

Why we sell in size series
Everything in our catalogue is sold as a size series — a full size run with one garment per size. Prices are shown per piece and charged per series, so the maths stays transparent: piece price multiplied by the number of pieces in the run.
We chose this model deliberately. It is the fairest MOQ we can offer a small boutique. You are not forced into a hundred units of one style to unlock a price. You take one pack, you get a shelf that fits real customers — including plus size / büyük beden where the series runs that way — and if the style sells, you reorder with confidence. Different collections for different regions
This is the part of our story we are proudest of. We do not push one global collection at every market and hope it lands. We design and produce different collections for different regions, because taste, climate, sizing demand and occasion dressing genuinely differ from one market to another.
Colour is read differently. Sleeve length is read differently. A fabric weight that is perfect for one winter is unwearable in another. So we build separate ranges, and we brief our pattern rooms separately.
Africa
For African markets we lean into colour, print and presence. Occasion dressing carries real social weight, so we develop stronger patterns, richer palettes and more generous cuts, in lighter fabrics that make sense in heat. Embellished wholesale abayas and statement floral and patterned dresses move first here, and sizing demand skews to the fuller end of the range, which shapes how we build the series itself.

The USA
North American buyers ask for something quieter. The collection we build for the USA is weighted toward neutral tones, everyday hijab-friendly workwear and pieces that sit comfortably in a Western wardrobe: modest denim dresses, layerable wholesale tunics and shirts, clean lines, minimal embellishment. Fit expectations are different too, and so is the seasonal rhythm — a US boutique is planning autumn while another market is still buying summer.

Turkic countries
Across the Turkic countries the calendar is full of weddings, engagements and family celebrations, and the demand follows it. Here we develop more evening dresses and abiye, heavier winter fabrics, and knit-based daily wear from our wholesale knitwear range. Tastes lean toward tailored, structured shapes, and a serious occasion range is not optional — it is the core of the season.

Private label and co-developing products
A growing share of our work is private label modest clothing. We produce original Istanbul designs under the client’s own brand, and we develop new products with clients rather than for them — a length adjusted, a neckline raised, a sleeve rebuilt, a colourway added because a shop’s customers keep asking for it.

Support that continues after the parcel leaves
Selling tesettür and modest wear online is a marketing problem as much as a sourcing one. A beautiful abaya photographed badly does not sell. So we help our clients present the range — which pieces to lead with, how to group a drop, what to post and in what order, how to build a feed that looks like a brand instead of a supplier catalogue.
We treat that as part of the product. If our clients’ shops grow, our order book grows with them.
How we ship worldwide
Orders are prepared in 1–2 business days and go out with worldwide tracked shipping, so a buyer always knows where the parcel is. Because we are the manufacturer, the stock is in the building — there is no waiting for a third party to confirm availability. Details are on our shipping page.

Our goal is stated plainly: to become the number one textile exporting modest fashion company supplying online modest shops and online boutiques. Not the biggest catalogue — the most useful partner. The supplier a boutique owner recommends to another boutique owner.
